Glastonbury
Climb to the top of Glastonbury Tor, visit the Abbey then explore the unique stores. White Spring Well and Temple is one of the greatest mysteries of the Isle of Avalon, not to be missed,

Bristol and Bath
Bristol offers a wealth of activities, cafes, restaurants and shows. Bath‘s city centre is compact and easy to walk around taking in the incredible history of the Roman Baths and Abbey

Wells
Wells is the smallest City in England located on the southern edge of the Mendip Hills. Explore the spectacular Cathedral, watch the swans ring the bell for dinner at the Bishop’s Palace.
If you like being around water

Swimming
Clevedon Marine Lake is a tidal infinity pool filled with sea water with tremendous views out over the Clevedon Pier. Very popular for swimmers and dippers all year round. You can also SUP on the lake and swim out to the bathing platform. Bring a picnic and towel and enjoy a day out. There is a chart on the wall marking the depth of the pool.

Seaside Resorts
Seaside towns with ice cream parlours , candy floss shops and great fish and chips. Burnham on Sea hosts seven miles of golden sand and the shortest pier in the UK while Lyme Regis on the Jurassic Coast of Dorset has great eateries, a harbour and adorable beach huts you can rent.

Healing Waters
Whether you enjoy dipping in the healing waters of the Roman Baths in Bath (there’s a spa with natural thermal hot spring) or drinking waters from the natural Chalice Wells at Glastonbury then purity and cleansing properties are within reach. Bath is easily accessible by train or car.
If you love being in nature

Nature Reserves
Explore some of Britain’s best wetland nature reserves. Take in a stroll and coffee at Avalon Marshes or watch the starlings at Ham Wall. Listen out for a booming bittern and spot otters, kingfishers and cranes along the way.

Somerset Levels
Learn a little about how people lived and navigated through the Somerset Levels landscape. Visit the Sweet Track, a Neolithic, timber trackway or explore an Iron Age Roadhouse, based on those found at Glastonbury Lake Village.

Gorge Walks
See the bluebells at Ebbor Gorge or climb Jacob’s Ladder at Cheddar Gorge, inspiring walks and mystical subterranean stalactite caves and home of Briton’s earliest caveman. You will love these cliff top walks and explorations.
