What makes a great get away?
Our vision is to offer a relaxing, rustic environment where you can relax, kick off your shoes, cook, laugh, chill, explore, walk, snooze, read books, hang out at the firepit, lounge in the hot tub with friends and family. A short walk to a Farmshop, Activity Centre, Cafe Bar along the river. The Somerset Levels is the ideal location to unwind and recharge your batteries. Bring the dog, bring the kids or bring the celebration! Wall Eden Farmhouse awaits you.
Sleeping Space
The property caters for 6 people plus 2 on sofa bed and 2 in Shepherdess Hut, so potentially 10 in total. There are 3 bedrooms and one sofa bed. There is a master bedroom with a 4 poster bed, TV and ensuite with patio doors out to the back garden area.
There is underfloor heating in hall, lounge and bedrooms, Bedrooms 2 and 3 are both twins – you can easily arrange the beds side by side if prefer doubles. There is also a double sofa bed in the open plan lounge area. There are fresh hand and bath towels and complimentary toiletries. The property has an iron, hair dryer and washing machine. The wifi code is written in the guest pack. If you have young children feel free to bring travel cots. There is one step up to the front door otherwise the property is easily accessible for mobility purposes. The Shepherdess Hut has a double mattress and comfy quilt though no electricity or water, so may suit outdoors types or those wanting more of a wilderness experience.
Living Space
A bright and welcoming farmhouse, perfect for a memorable and friendly stay with friends and family, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space, in a rural and idyllic spot.
The kitchen is well equipped with crockery and utensils. There is a charcoal BBQ and a log burning fire pit for cooking outside. We provide complementary charcoal and kindling/logs on arrival to get you started and more can be purchased from the Farmshop or you are more than welcome to bring your own. There is a wood burning stove in the living room. There are 2 flat screen TV’s, one in the living area and one in the master bedroom.
Secret Space
The Farmhouse has been converted into upstairs and downstairs accommodation. This property is all of the downstairs of the Farmhouse. You have your own private front door access, own private hot tub and use of the entire garden area including fire pit and picnic seating/table.
There is parking in the driveway for between 4 and 6 vehicles depending on size. The upstairs part of the property is accessed via a separate doorway. It is not rented out. It is lived in on and off by the owner mainly during the winter. Guests who stay at the property are a mixture of families gathering together in one location to celebrate an event or groups of friends enjoying the opportunity to catch up and cook together and enjoy sitting round a fire of an evening. There is plenty of outside seating spots to steal yourself away and read a good book if relaxation is needed.
Outdoor Space
The gardens have a rustic look and feel, with willow and walnut trees and the Farmhouse is in a rural setting. You are likely to hear woodpeckers and may see the occasional deer in the garden.
We are close to activities including archery and paddle boarding. There is a Farmshop stocking essentials such as local eggs, bread, cheese, chocolate, ice-cream and milk and a Cafe/Bar serving coffee and cake as well as local award-winning Somerset Cider – all within a 5 minute drive of the Farmhouse. The location is perfect for cycling in the Somerset Levels, exploring the many nature reserves or walking in The Mendips. If you love the idea of having a BBQ, relaxing in a hot tub, watching the sunset or sitting round a fire pit in a quiet and relaxing garden this is the place for you to welcome your friends and family. There is a circular river walk to the Farmshop.

The Farmhouse is a 5 minute walk to Wall Eden Adventures. Kayaking, canoeing and stand-up paddle-boarding adventures aware. Connect with nature and embrace your inner water-loving adventurer! Glide across the water, feeling the thrill of exploration and the refreshing spray on your face. Afterwards share photos over an award winning Cider or flat white and scrumptious cake in The Barn !

Where to find us
For accuracy please set your Sat Nav for Catherine Street, East Huntspill, Highbridge, TA9 3PU.
Ideally, you will need a vehicle to find us. You will turn off New Road and enter Catherine Street, which curves to the right , you cross over 2 cattle grids. Please note ‘Wall Eden Farmhouse’ has a completely different driveway entrance from ‘Wall Eden Farm’. The closest Train Station is Highbridge and Burnham, which is 2.5 miles away. For a taxi, best book in advance as rural location and limited Uber. Bristol Airport is an approximate 40 minute drive away. Plenty of free car parking available on-site.
